Auxiliary Power Outlet: Testing and Inspection




ACCESSORY SOCKET INSPECTION

Front

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the upper panel. Upper Panel Removal/Installation

3. Remove the shift knob. (MTX) Manual Transaxle Shift Mechanism Removal/Installation

4. Remove the selector lever knob. (ATX) Service and Repair

5. Remove the shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation

6. Remove the accessory socket (front) Service and Repair

7. Connect a tester as shown in the figure and verify that there is continuity.






- If the continuity cannot be verified, replace the accessory socket (Front).

Rear

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the following parts:
a. Upper panel Upper Panel Removal/Installation

b. Shift knob (MTX) Manual Transaxle Shift Mechanism Removal/Installation

c. Selector lever knob (ATX) Service and Repair

d. Shift panel Shift Panel Removal/Installation

e. Side wall Side Wall Removal/Installation

f. Center panel Center Panel Removal/Installation

g. Audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation

h. Console Console Removal/Installation

i. Accessory socket (Rear) Service and Repair

3. Connect a tester as shown in the figure and verify that there is continuity.






- If the continuity cannot be verified, replace the accessory socket (Rear).
