Auxiliary Port Valve (APV) Position Sensor Inspection




AUXILIARY PORT VALVE (APV) POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION [13B-MSP]

NOTE:
- Before performing the following inspection, make sure to follow the troubleshooting flowchart. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Visual Inspection

1. Remove the APV position sensor. Auxiliary Port Valve (APV) Position Sensor Removal/Installation

2. Verify that there are no metal shavings on the sensor.

3. Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results.

Resistance Inspection

1. Disconnect the APV position sensor connector.

2. Measure the coil resistance between APV position sensor terminals A and B or B and C.






- If not within the specification, replace the APV position sensor. Auxiliary Port Valve (APV) Position Sensor Removal/Installation

APV position sensor No.1, No.2 resistance
- Except for Infinite or 0 ohms [at room temperature]
