Door Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

DOOR LOCK CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION









NOTE:Individual door lock cylinders are repaired by discarding the inoperative door lock cylinder and building a new door lock cylinder using the appropriate lock repair package. The lock repair package includes a detailed instruction sheet to build the new door lock cylinder to the current key code of the vehicle.
1. Remove the exterior front door handle reinforcement. See - Door Handle Reinforcement - Exterior, Front Removal/Installation.





2. Remove the door lock cylinder.
a. Release the clips.

b. Remove the door lock cylinder.

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
