Cylinder Head Assembly

CYLINDER HEAD






Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in 5 stages.
Tighten the bolts to 5 Nm {0.5 kgf-m, 44 in-lbf}.
Tighten the bolts to 15 Nm {1.5 kgf-m, 97 in-lbf}.
Tighten the bolts to 45 Nm {4.5 kgf-m, 33 ft-lbf}.
Turn the bolts 90 degrees.
Turn the bolts an additional 90 degrees.

BOLT RE-USABILITY

The cylinder head bolts are torque-to-yield and must not be reused. New cylinder head bolts must be installed.

CAMSHAFT BEARING CAP






Tighten the camshaft bearing cap bolts, one turn at a time, until finger tight.
Tighten to 7 Nm {0.7 kgf-m, 62 in-lbf}.
Tighten to 16 Nm {1.6 kgf-m, 141 in-lbf}
