BLOCK HEATER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Drain the cooling system. See Removal and Replacement.

2. Disconnect the block heater electrical connector.

CAUTION:Make sure that the block heater wiring is routed and secured away from rotating or hot components or damage to the wiring may occur.
3. Remove the block heater.

- To install, tighten to 40 Nm {4.0 kgf-m, 30 ft-lbf} (2.5L).
- To install, tighten to 25 Nm {2.5 kgf-m, 18 ft-lbf} (3.0L).

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

5. Fill and bleed the cooling system. See Removal and Replacement.
