DTC B1018[55] Vehicle Configuration Data Failure (Not Configured) (Information Module)

1. Information module system check

Refer to "64.Body Control 10I.Troubleshooting(Information Module) diagnostic system check - information module".

2. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Programming verification.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of information module.

Refer to "223.Body Control 36D.Symptom(Information Module) Intermittent Conditions of Information Module".

3. Programming verification

1) Display the Vehicle Configuration All Data Setting / Change on the scan tool and verify that the vehicle information is programmed correctly for the following.

  • Equipped ECU information
  • Engine Type
  • T/M Type
  • Tire Radius
  • Final Ratio
  • Gear ratio

2) If it is not programmed correctly, reprogram the correct value.

Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9Z.Body, Cab, Accessories Electrical Control information module setting".

Procedure completion

=>Go to DTC follow-up check.

4. DTC follow-up check

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Information module replacement.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of information module.

Refer to "223.Body Control 36D.Symptom(Information Module) Intermittent Conditions of Information Module".

5. Information module replacement

Note

  • After replacing the information module, programming must be performed.

Procedure completion

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Repair verification

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
