DTC B1018[45] ECU Failure(Program Memory Failure) (Information Module)

1. Information module system check

Refer to "64.Body Control 10I.Troubleshooting(Information Module) diagnostic system check - information module".

2. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to DTC follow-up check.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of information module.

Refer to "223.Body Control 36D.Symptom(Information Module) Intermittent Conditions of Information Module".

3. DTC follow-up check

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

2) Disconnect the scan tool.

3) Disconnect the battery cable or information module harness connector (C105) and wait for 3 minutes.

4) Connect the battery cable or information module harness connector (C105) and wait for 3 minutes.

Refer to "LHD Information Module" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

Refer to "RHD Information Module" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).

5) Connect the scan tool.

6) Turn ON the ignition switch.

7) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Information module replacement.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of information module.

4. Information module replacement

Note

  • After replacing the information module, programming must be performed.

Procedure completion

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Repair verification

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
