1) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is DTC U0155 set?
Yes
Go to DTC U0046[88] diagnosis.
Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(IBS (4JJ3 with DPD)) DTC U0046[88] CAN Communication".
No
=>Go to Inspection of warning light operation in instrument panel cluster.
1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2) Turn ON the ignition switch.
3) Inspect the operation of other warning lights excluding the generator warning light. Is the result normal?
Yes
=>Go to Battery sensor installation status inspection.
No
1) Inspect the following fuses for a blowout. Is the result normal?
Yes
=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in instrument panel cluster power supply circuit.
No
Replace the fuse as necessary. If the fuse blows out again, repair the short to ground in the circuit relating to each fuse.
1) Remove the instrument panel cluster.
Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9E.Instrumentation, Driver Info. instrument panel cluster removal".
2) Connect a test lamp between the ignition power supply circuit (pin 2 of B7) and the body ground.
Refer to "RHD Combination Meter" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
3) Turn ON the ignition switch. Does the test lamp illuminate?
Yes
=>Go to Instrument panel cluster harness connector inspection.
No
Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the ignition power supply circuit between the METER(IG1) 5A fuse and the instrument panel cluster (pin 2 of B7).
1) Inspect for poor connections at the instrument panel cluster harness connector (pins 2 of B7). Is the connection status normal?
Refer to "RHD Combination Meter" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Yes
Replace the instrument panel cluster.

1) Turn ON the ignition switch. Does the generator warning light illuminate?
Yes
No
=>Go to Battery sensor installation status inspection.
1) Inspect the terminal installation section of the battery sensor for looseness or corrosion. Is the result normal?
Yes
=>Go to Battery sensor harness connector inspection.
No
Tighten or clean the terminal installation section of the battery sensor as necessary.
1) Inspect for poor connections at the battery sensor harness connector (pins 2 and 3 of C49). Is the connection status normal?
Refer to "RHD Battery Sensor" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Yes
=>Go to Battery sensor replacement.
No
Repair the connections as necessary.
Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(4JJ3 with DPD) battery sensor removal".
Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(4JJ3 with DPD) battery sensor installation".
Procedure completion
1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.
2) Reconnect all of the disconnected harness connectors.
3) Turn ON the ignition switch.
4) Check the generator warning light. Does the generator warning light illuminate?
Yes
Go to Diagnostic system check-IBS.
