DTC P2714 (Flash Code 21) Pressure Control Solenoid D (SL4) Performance Or Stuck Off (AWR6B45)

1. DTC P2714 description

Clutch control solenoid (SL4) is installed on the valve body assembly and adjusts the B1 brake control oil pressure. When the R range is selected, the TCM controls clutch control solenoid (SL4), and the gear is shifted to the reverse gear by engaging B1 and B4 brakes. If the TCM detects a reverse gear ratio malfunction when the R range is selected, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P2714

Condition for running the DTC

The ignition switch is ON.
The battery voltage is 9.0 to 16.0 V.
The engine speed is 550 rpm or more.
The output speed is 500 rpm or less.
The vehicle is running in the R range and the gear does not shift.
The ATF temperature is -10°C {14°F} or more.
DTCs P0711, P0712, P0713, P0973, P0974, U0073, and U0100 are not set.

Condition for setting the DTC

The TCM detects the reverse gear ratio malfunction.

3. Action taken when DTC P2714 sets

The TCM flashes the check trans warning light. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type C.

The TCM fixes the line pressure to 5.8 kgf/cm2 when the turbine speed is 1500 rpm or more.
The TCM inhibits the self-learning control.
