1) Connect the scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.
3) Start the engine.
4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to Charging system inspection.
No
Go to Intermittent conditions of transfer case control system.

1) Inspect the charging system. Is the result normal?

No
Repair the charging system.
Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(RZ4E-TC) generator removal".
Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(RZ4E-TC) generator installation".
Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(4JJ3 without DPD) generator removal".
Refer to "1.Engine 1J.Electrical(4JJ3 without DPD) generator installation".

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.
3) Start the engine.
4) Observe the Battery Voltage parameter on the scan tool. Is the Battery Voltage parameter more than or equal to the specified value?
Standard: 18.0 V
Yes
=>Go to Charging system inspection.
No
Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
