DTC P0130 Lambda Sensor Circuit Failure (4JJ3 with DPD)

1. DTC P0130 description

The heated oxygen sensor is installed at the inlet of the DPD assembly and detects the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas. This sensor has a pump current circuit, reference voltage circuit, low reference circuit, and heater circuit. If the ECM detects a malfunction in the pump current circuit, reference voltage circuit, or low reference circuit, the DTC is set.

2. Condition for setting DTC P0130

Condition for running the DTC

  • The heated oxygen sensor is in measurement mode.
  • DTCs P0053, P0606, and P064D are not set.

Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC P0053 Lambda Sensor Heater Line Error".

Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC P0606 ECM/PCM Processor".

Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC P064D Lambda Sensor Control IC Error".

Condition for setting the DTC

  • The ECM detects a malfunction in the heated oxygen sensor pump current circuit, reference voltage circuit, or low reference circuit.

3. Action taken when DTC P0130 sets

  • The ECM illuminates the MIL. Refer to Action taken when DTC sets - Type A.

Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC type definitions".

  • The ECM inhibits the EGR control.
  • The ECM assumes a default heated oxygen sensor value.

4. Condition for clearing DTC P0130

  • Refer to Conditions for clearing the MIL/DTC - Type A or Type B.

Refer to "51.Engine Control 1A.Troubleshooting(4JJ3 with DPD) DTC type definitions".
