Refer to "64.Body Control 10I.Troubleshooting(BCM) diagnostic system check-body controls".
1) Connect the scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch.
3) Turn ON the ignition switch.
4) Operate the turn signal switch.
5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to Side turn signal light inspection.
No
Go to Intermittent conditions of body control system.
Refer to "223.Body Control 36D.Symptom(BCM) intermittent conditions of body control system".
1) Inspect the side turn signal light for the following. Is the result normal?
Yes
=>Go to Right outside rearview mirror inspection.
No
Repair or replace as necessary.
1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.
2) Turn OFF the ignition switch.
3) Disconnect the right outside rearview mirror harness connector (D4).
4) Connect a fused jumper wire between the output circuit and the ground circuit of the right outside rearview mirror harness connector (pins 12 and 11 of D4).

Refer to "RHD Body Control (4JJ3 with DPD)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Refer to "RHD Body Control (4JJ3 without DPD, RZ4E)" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
5) Turn ON the ignition switch.
6) Operate the turn signal switch.
7) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?
Yes
=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in side turn signal light (right) output circuit.
No
Replace the right outside rearview mirror.
Refer to "9.Body, Cab, Accessories 9A.Lighting Systems side turn signal light (door mirror integrated type) removal".
1) Disconnect the BCM harness connector (B18).
2) Inspect the side turn signal light (right) output circuit between the BCM (pin 5 of B18) and the side turn signal light (pin 2 of C46) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?
3) Inspect the side turn signal light (right) output circuit between the BCM (pin 5 of B18) and the right outside rearview mirror (pin 12 of D4) for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

4) Are all of the results normal?
Yes
=>Go to Inspection for open circuit in side turn signal light (right) ground circuit.
No
Repair the circuit as necessary.
1) Inspect the ground circuit between the side turn signal light (pin 1 of C46) and the body ground for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?
2) Inspect the ground circuit between the right outside rearview mirror (pin 11 of D4) and the body ground for an open circuit or high resistance. Is the result normal?

=>Go to BCM harness connector inspection.
No
Repair the circuit as necessary.
1) Inspect for poor connections at the BCM harness connector (pin 5 of B18). Is the connection status normal?
