DTC C1110[12] Parking Aid Front Sensor Internal Supply - Circuit Short to Battery (Parking Aid)

1. Parking aid system check

Refer to "75.Driver Assistance System 10W.Troubleshooting(Parking Aid) diagnostic system check - parking aid system controls".

2. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Operate the shift lever to the position shown in the following.

  • A position other than the neutral position (Manual transmission models)
  • D or R position (Automatic transmission models)

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Wire harness and connector inspection.

No

Go to Intermittent conditions of parking aid system.

Refer to "233.Driver Assistance System 46D.Symptom(Parking Aid) intermittent conditions of parking aid system".

3. Wire harness and connector inspection

1) Turn OFF the ignition switch.

2) Disconnect the parking aid system control unit harness connector (C16).

3) Disconnect all the front sonar sensor harness connectors.

4) Inspect the wire harnesses and connectors for the following. Is the result normal?

Wire harness to be inspected

  • Between the parking aid system control unit (pin 11 of C16) and the front inner left sonar sensor (pin 3 of C87)
  • Between the parking aid system control unit (pin 11 of C16) and the front outer left sonar sensor (pin 3 of C89)
  • Between the parking aid system control unit (pin 11 of C16) and the front inner right sonar sensor (pin 3 of C86)
  • Between the parking aid system control unit (pin 11 of C16) and the front outer right sonar sensor (pin 3 of C88)

Inspection items

  • Short to power supply or short to other circuits

Yes

=>Go to Parking aid system control unit replacement.

No

Repair the circuit as necessary.

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Parking aid system control unit replacement

Note

  • Perform programming after replacing the parking aid system control unit.

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Operate the shift lever to the position shown in the following.

  • A position other than the neutral position (Manual transmission models)
  • D or R position (Automatic transmission models)

5) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
