1) Connect the scan tool.
2) Turn ON the ignition switch.
3) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?
Yes
No
Go to Intermittent conditions of parking aid system.
Refer to "233.Driver Assistance System 46D.Symptom(Parking Aid) intermittent conditions of parking aid system".
1) Inspect the ELEC(IG2) 10A fuse. Is the result normal?
Yes
=>Go to Ignition power supply circuit voltage check.
No
Replace the fuse. If the fuse blows out again, repair the short to ground in the circuits relating to the fuse.
1) Disconnect the parking aid system control unit harness connector (C16).
2) Measure the voltage between the ignition power supply circuit (pin 12 of C16) and the body ground with a DMM. Is the voltage more than or equal to the specified value?
Refer to "LHD Parking Aid" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Refer to "RHD Parking Aid" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Value: 12 V
Yes
=>Go to Parking aid system control unit harness connector inspection.
No
Repair the open circuit or high resistance in the ignition power supply circuit between the ELEC(IG2) 10A fuse and the parking aid system control unit (pin 12 of C16).
1) Inspect for poor connections at the parking aid system control unit harness connector (pin 12 of C16). Is the connection status normal?
Refer to "LHD Parking Aid" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Refer to "RHD Parking Aid" in the ETM (wiring diagram). (Open using the ETM viewer.).
Yes
=>Go to Parking aid system control unit replacement.
