DTC C1106[97] Dirt Blockage (Radar Sensor (Left))

1. Radar sensor system check

Refer to "75.Driver Assistance System 10W.Troubleshooting(Radar Sensor (Left)) Diagnostic system check-radar sensor system".

2. Current DTC check

1) Connect the scan tool.

2) Turn ON the ignition switch.

3) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor inspection.

No

=>Go to Repair verification.

3. Radar sensor inspection

1) Inspect the radar sensor (Left), radar sensor (Right), and rear step bumper (inside/outside) for the following. Is the result normal?

  • Dirt on radar sensor (Left) and radar sensor (Right), or adherence of foreign material around the rear step bumper (inside/outside)
  • Non-genuine Isuzu accessory components of the rear step bumper (inside/outside)
  • Non-genuine Isuzu electronic components around the radar sensor (Left) and radar sensor (Right)
  • Painting with non-genuine Isuzu car paint

Yes

=>Go to Current DTC follow-up check.

No

Clean the radar sensor (Left), radar sensor (Right), and rear step bumper (inside/outside).

=>Go to Repair verification.

4. Current DTC follow-up check

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool. Is a DTC set?

Yes

=>Go to Radar sensor (Left) and radar sensor (Right) replacement.

No

=>Go to Repair verification.

5. Radar sensor (Left) and radar sensor (Right) replacement

Note

  • Perform programming after replacing the radar sensor (Left) and radar sensor (Right).

=>Go to Repair verification.

6. Repair verification

1) Clear the DTC with a scan tool.

2) Turn OFF the ignition switch for 30 seconds or more.

3) Turn ON the ignition switch.

4) Observe the DTC information with a scan tool.
