Replacement Part

Caution

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat cushion removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Rear Seat Back (LH,RH)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Head restraint

(4)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  While pressing the top tether anchor tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the top tether anchor cover from the rear seat back frame.

4.  Unzip the zippers.

5.  Remove the fasteners.

6.  Remove the rear seat back board.

7.  Remove the screws.

8.  Remove the seat belt cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure while setting hooks aside.

9.  Remove the hooks and tabs and remove the recliner lever

10.  Release the pole guide tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, then pull the pole guide out in the direction of arrow (2).

11.  Move the catch cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.

12.  Lift the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad as a single unit and remove them from the rear seat back frame.

13.  Install in the reverse order of removal. (See Rear Seat Back Frame Installation Note.)

Rear Seat Back(Center)

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Head restraint

(4)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Rear seat center armrest (See REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Open the surface fastener.

4.  Remove the fasteners.

5.  Unzip the zippers.

6.  While pressing the top tether anchor tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2) and detach the top tether anchor cover from the rear seat back frame.

7.  Remove the fasteners.

8.  Remove the rear seat back board.

9.  Remove the band.

10.  Pull out the wiring harness.

11.  Release the pole guide tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure, then pull the pole guide out in the direction of arrow (2).

12.  Lift the rear seat back trim and the rear seat back pad as a single unit and remove them from the rear seat back frame.

13.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Rear Seat Back Frame Installation Note

Rear seat back trim type A

1.  Install the fastener.

2.  Install the surface fastener.

Rear seat back trim type B

1.  Insert the rear seat back trim (lower side) between the rear seat hinge and rear seat back pad.

2.  Align the hole of rear seat back trim (lower side) with the hole of rear seat back board.

3.  Align the hole of rear seat back trim (upper side) with the hole of rear seat back board and install the fastener.
