i-stop INDICATOR LIGHT (GREEN) FLASHES

DESCRIPTION
•  i-stop indicator light (green) remains flashing during idling. (ATX, Except for European (L.H.D. U.K.) specs.)
•  i-stop indicator light (green) remains flashing during i-stop.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Note
•  If the brake pedal depression is insufficient, the i-stop indicator light (green) illuminates and the i-stop function operates by increasing brake pedal depression. (ATX, VIN Serial No. — 30000)
•  If in gear while i-stop is operating, the i-stop indicator light (green) flashes continuously. (MTX,VIN Serial No. — 30000)
•  If the driver’s door is open while i-stop is operating, the i-stop warning light (green) flashes continuously. (VIN Serial No. 30001—)
i-stop function operation conditions are not set
•  False detection of insufficient brake depression (fluid pressure). (ATX, VIN Serial No. — 30000)
―  Brake fluid pressure sensor (built-into DSC HU/CM) malfunction
•  False detection of door open. (VIN Serial No. 30001—)
―  Door switch malfunction
i-stop indicator light (green) false illumination
•  i-stop indicator light (green) illumination circuit malfunction in instrument cluster
•  CAN communication line malfunction between instrument cluster and PCM

VERIFY DTC
•  Retrieve the PCM, DSC HU/CM and Instrument cluster DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Are any DTCs present?
Yes
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
No
VIN Serial No. — 30000:
•  Go to the next step.
VIN Serial No. 30001—:
•  Go to Step 3.

INSPECT BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR
•  Inspect the brake fluid pressure sensor.
•  Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Replace the DSC HU/CM.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT FRONT DOOR LATCH SWITCH AND REAR DOOR LATCH SWITCH
•  Inspect the front door latch switch and rear door latch switch.
•  Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Replace the front door latch switch and rear door latch switch.
No
Go to the next step.

INSPECT INSTRUMENT CLUSTER
•  Inspect the instrument cluster.
•  Is there any malfunction?
Yes
Replace the instrument cluster.
No
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction is not resolved, replace the PCM.
Go to the next step.

Verify the test results.
•  If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
•  If a malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform the repair or diagnosis.
―  If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed.
―  If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
