Warning

•  Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. 1.  Remove the passenger-side air bag module. (See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].) (See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

2.  Disassemble in the order shown in the figure.

3.  Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Note

•  When replacing the dashboard, remove the following parts:

1.  Center speaker grille (See SPEAKER GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Front center speaker (with Bose^®) (See FRONT CENTER SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  GPS antenna (See GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  GPS antenna feeder (See GPS ANTENNA FEEDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Side ventilator grille (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Solar radiation sensor (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.  Parking assist unit (See PARKING ASSIST UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Dashboard Wiring Harness Removal Note

1.  The shape of the wiring harness clips at the positions shown in the figure cannot be visually verified. Refer to wiring harness clips A and B shown in the figure when removing the dashboard wiring harness.
