SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the console side panel. (See CONSOLE SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the selector lever knob. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Move the shift panel in the order of arrows (1), (2), (3), and (4) shown in the figure and detach the clips and hooks.

5.  Move the shift panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the guides.

6.  Disconnect the commander switch connector and the electric parking brake switch connector.

Note

•  When replacing the shift panel, remove the electric parking brake switch. (See ELECTRIC PARKING BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

•  When replacing the shift panel, remove the commander switch. (See COMMANDER SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
