HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT SHORT-CORD INSPECTION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the liftgate upper trim. (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the rear spoiler. (See REAR SPOILER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the high-mount brake light short-cord from the high-mount brake light. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Verify that the continuity between the high-mount brake light short-cord terminals is as indicated in the table.

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the high-mount brake light short-cord. (See HIGH-MOUNT BRAKE LIGHT SHORT-CORD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
