• Switch the ignition off.
• Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
• Disconnect the limit switch No.2 (LH) connector.
• Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
• Is the connector normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 10.
2
INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH No.2 (LH) GROUND CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
• Verify that the limit switch No.2 (LH) connector is disconnected.
• Inspect for continuity between limit switch No.2 (LH) terminal B (wiring harness-side) and body ground.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between limit switch No.2 (LH) terminal B and body ground.
If there is a common connector:
• Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for an open circuit.
• Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
If there is no common connector:
• Repair or replace the wiring harness which has an open circuit.
Go to Step 10.
3
INSPECT REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (LH) CONNECTOR CONDITION
• Disconnect the rear power seat control module (LH) connector.
• Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
• Is the connector normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 10.
4
INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH No.2 (LH) CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
• Verify that the limit switch No.2 (LH) and rear power seat control module (LH) connectors are disconnected.
• Inspect for continuity between rear power seat control module (LH) terminal 2N (wiring harness-side) and limit switch No.2 (LH) terminal A (wiring harness-side).
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between rear power seat control module (LH) terminal 2N and limit switch No.2 (LH) terminal A.
5
INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH No.1 (LH) CONNECTOR CONDITION
• Disconnect the limit switch No.1 (LH) connector.
• Inspect the connector engagement and connection condition and inspect the terminals for damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection.
• Is the connector normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 10.
6
INSPECT LIMIT SWITCH No.1 (LH) CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
• Verify that the limit switch No.1 (LH) and rear power seat control module (LH) connectors are disconnected.
• Inspect for continuity between rear power seat control module (LH) terminal 3N (wiring harness-side) and body ground.
• Is there continuity?
Yes
Refer to the wiring diagram and verify whether or not there is a common connector between rear power seat control module (LH) terminal 3N and limit switch No.1 (LH) terminal A.
If there is a common connector:
• Determine the malfunctioning part by inspecting the common connector and the terminal for corrosion, damage, or pin disconnection, and the common wiring harness for a short to ground.
• Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
If there is no common connector:
• Repair or replace the wiring harness which has a short to ground.
Go to Step 10.
No
Go to the next step.
7
