|
• Rear power seat control module (RH) loses the seat position.
|
Fail-safe
|
• Inhibits the rear power slide (forward) function from being driven.
• Inhibits the rear power recliner function from being driven.
• Inhibits the rear power walk-in return function from being driven.

Possible cause
|
• DTC B1B89:44 was cleared from rear power seat control module (RH). (No malfunction)
• Rear power walk-in operation or return was stopped within a short period of time. (No malfunction)
• Rear power seat control module (RH) malfunction

No

Go to the next step.

PERFORM SEAT POSITION INITIAL LEARNING
• Perform the seat position initial learning.
• Is the seat position initial learning completed normally?

Yes

Go to Step 4.

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH) DTCs
• Clear the DTC for the rear power seat control module (RH) using the M-MDS.
• Retrieve the rear power seat control module (RH) DTCs using the M-MDS.
• Are any DTCs displayed?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
|
No
|
Inspect the following:
• Positional relationship between seat position sensor and shunt
• Foreign matter (metal fragments) adhering to seat position sensor
• Seat position sensor
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part.
Perform the seat position initial learning, then go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
• Clear the DTC for the rear power seat control module (RH) using the M-MDS.
• Retrieve the rear power seat control module (RH) DTCs using the M-MDS.
• Is the same Pending DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the second-row seat (RH), then go to the next step.

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
• Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
