Description	Seat position initial learning not completed
Detection condition	•  Seat position initial learning never completed.
Fail-safe	•  Inhibits the rear power slide (forward) function from being driven. •  Inhibits the rear power recliner function from being driven.
Possible cause	•  The rear power seat control module (RH) was replaced. •  Rear power seat control module (RH) malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH) DTCs •  Retrieve the rear power seat control module (RH) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].) •  Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].)
		No	Go to the next step.
2	PERFORM SEAT POSITION INITIAL LEARNING •  Perform the seat position initial learning. (See SEAT POSITION INITIAL LEARNING.) •  Is the seat position initial learning completed normally?	Yes	Go to Step 4.
		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH) DTCs •  Clear the DTC for the rear power seat control module (RH) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].) •  Retrieve the rear power seat control module (RH) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].) •  Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].)
		No	Inspect the following: •  Positional relationship between seat position sensor and shunt •  Foreign matter (metal fragments) adhering to seat position sensor •  Seat position sensor (See SEAT POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION.) Repair or replace the malfunctioning part. Perform the seat position initial learning, then go to the next step. (See SEAT POSITION INITIAL LEARNING.)
4	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED •  Clear the DTC for the rear power seat control module (RH) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].) •  Retrieve the rear power seat control module (RH) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].) •  Is the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Replace the second-row seat (RH), then go to the next step. (See SECOND-ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	Go to the next step.
5	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED •  Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [REAR POWER SEAT CONTROL MODULE (RH)].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
