Detection condition	•  Condition in which requested position is not reached is detected.
Fail-safe	Refer to the DTC table and fail-safe table according to the DTC. (See DTC TABLE [PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR].)

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY IF MALFUNCTION IS CAUSED BY EV TRANSAXLE OR PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR STICKING •  Perform the following procedure. 1.  Stop the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake securely. 2.  Remove the parking lock actuator. (See PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A71M].) •  Can the manual shaft be rotated by hand and can the parking lock mechanism be operated? a30zzw00002212	Yes	Parking lock actuator sticking can be considered. Replace the parking lock actuator and perform the repair completion verification. (See PARKING LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A71M].)
		No	After replacing the EV transaxle, perform the repair completion verification. (See EV TRANSAXLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [A71M].)
Repair completion verification	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs ARE DISPLAYED •  Perform the DTC inspection. (See DTC INSPECTION.) •  Is a DTC displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
