REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  When removing the rear seat and taking it out of the vehicle or when entering the vehicle, the work must be performed by two or more people because contact with the surrounding areas of the vehicle could cause scratches and damage.

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Note

•  When removing the rear seat from the vehicle or putting it back in, it can be performed smoothly by removing the head restraints.

1.  When removing the rear seat back (LH), perform the following procedure.

(1)  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

(2)  Remove the rear cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Remove the rear buckle (LH). (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Remove the rear center seat belt anchor. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Fold the rear seat backs.

3.  Partially peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the bolts.

4.  Remove the rear seat back.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
