KEYLESS ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Interior, front

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the rear console panel. (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Caution

•  Disconnect the connector while holding the keyless antenna, otherwise the keyless antenna bracket could be damaged.

3.  Disconnect the connectors.

4.  Detach the tab of the keyless antenna bracket from the bracket.

5.  Remove the keyless antenna.

6.  Insert the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

7.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

8.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Interior, rear (With advanced keyless entry system)

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the rear seat cushion. (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Caution

•  Disconnect the connector while holding the keyless antenna, otherwise the keyless antenna bracket could be damaged.

3.  Disconnect the connectors.

4.  While pressing the keyless antenna bracket tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket tab from the body.

5.  Remove the keyless antenna.

6.  Insert the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

7.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

8.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Exterior, rear (With advanced keyless entry system)

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the rear under cover. (See REAR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  While pressing the keyless antenna bracket tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket tab from the body.

4.  Remove the keyless antenna.

5.  Disconnect the connectors.

6.  Insert the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

7.  Move the tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure to press the keyless antenna bracket tab, and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

8.  Remove the keyless antenna bracket from the keyless antenna.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

10.  Perform the rear side radar sensor aiming. (See REAR SIDE RADAR SENSOR AIMING.)

Exterior, RF/LF (With advanced keyless entry system)

Note

•  The keyless antenna (exterior, RF/LF) is built into the front outer handle.

•  To remove/install the keyless antenna (exterior, RF/LF), refer to FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION. (See FRONT OUTER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
