REAR PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Replacement parts

1.  Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE LEAD-ACID BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the rear package tray. (See REAR PACKAGE TRAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the trunk side upper trim. (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure, and move it in the direction of the arrow to detach the tabs and guides from the rear pillar trim.

5.  Remove the cap.

6.  Remove the screw.

7.  Partially peel back the cabin side weatherstrip.

8.  Partially peel back the weatherstrip.

9.  Disconnect the connectors. (With Bose^®)

10.  Move the rear pillar trim in the order of arrows (1), (2), and (3) shown in the figure and remove it while detaching tabs A, tabs B, the hooks, and the clips.

11.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

•  When replacing the rear pillar trim, remove the rear speaker. (With Bose^®) (See REAR SPEAKER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
