Note

• The integrity of the active air shutter cannot be determined from a single part. Perform the operation inspection and troubleshooting on the DTCs output by the PCM.

Operation Inspection

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2. Switch the main power ON (READY on).

3. Using the M-MDS simulation function, verify that the active air shutter operates when the AIRSHUT_POS_COMD is changed from 0 to 100%

• If there is any malfunction, replace the active air shutter.

DTC Inspection

1. Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2. Perform the DTC inspection for the pcm and verify if any DTCs related to the active air shutter is detected. (See DTC INSPECTION.)

• If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (e-SKYACTIV)].)
