• If the sliding mechanisms on both sides are not locked after assembling the front seat, the front seat may operate accidentally while the vehicle is driven, which could result in serious injury. After assembling the front seat, try moving it back and forth to verify that the sliding mechanisms on both sides are locked. (With manual seat)

Caution
-
• When removing the front seat, remove it with its seat back locked.
• After the front seat has been removed, if the slider lever is operated and the front seat is reinstalled with the left/right slide positions deviated, the adjuster unit could be damaged. After removing a front seat, do not operate the slider lever. (With manual seat)
• Verify that there are no malfunctions in the forward/back slide of the seat and in the adjuster unit after installing a front seat.
• When performing the procedure with a front seat removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.
1. Remove the front seat installation bolts. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Perform the following procedure. (Without seat warmer system)
- (1) Switch the ignition off.

- (2) Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3. Perform the following procedure. (With seat warmer system)
- (1) Verify if the ground plate needs to be disconnected and if it does, disconnect it. (See GROUND PLATE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

4. Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Remove the front seat side cover. (See FRONT SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6. Remove the front seat back trim. (See FRONT SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7. Remove the side air bag module for front passenger. (See SIDE AIR BAG MODULE FOR FRONT PASSENGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)
8. Remove the far side air bag module. (See FAR SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)
9. Disconnect the lumbar support connector. (With power seat)
10. Disassemble in the order shown in the figure.

11. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
