DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Driver-side Decoration Panel

1.  Remove the select lever knob. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Shift panel (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Console panel (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Passenger-side decoration panel (See DECORATION PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Driver-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Driver-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Driver-side lower panel (See DRIVER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Move the driver-side decoration panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it while detaching the clips.

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Note

•  When replacing the driver-side decoration panel, remove the driver-side ventilator grille. (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Passenger-side Decoration Panel

1.  Remove the select lever knob. (See SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3.  Remove the shift panel. (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the console panel. (See CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Move the passenger-side decoration panel in the order of arrows (1), (2) and (3) shown in the figure, and remove clips A and B.

6.  Remove the passenger-side decoration panel.

7.  Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector.

8.  Disconnect the push button start connector.

9.  When installing the passenger-side decoration panel, refer to the passenger-side decoration panel Installation Note. (See Passenger-side decoration panel installation note.)

Note

•  When replacing the passenger-side decoration panel, remove the following parts:

•  Passenger-side ventilator grille (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

•  Hazard warning switch (See HAZARD WARNING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

•  push button start (See PUSH BUTTON START REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Passenger-side decoration panel installation note

1.  After installing the clips at the two locations shown in the figure, install the remaining clips.
