• Handling the driver-side air bag module improperly can accidentally operate (deploy) the air bag module, which may seriously injure you. Read the SRS air bag system service warnings and cautions before handling the air bag module. (See

1. Remove the passenger-side air bag module. (See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

3. When replacing the dashboard, remove the following parts:
- (1) Side ventilator grille No.2 (See VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (2) Keyless antenna (See KEYLESS ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (3) AudioPilot® microphone (with Bose®) (See AudioPilot® MICROPHONE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (4) Global positioning system (GPS) antenna (See GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM (GPS) ANTENNA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (5) Auto leveling control module (without AFS) (See AUTO LEVELING CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (6) Adaptive front lighting system (AFS) control module (with AFS) (See ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFS) CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
- (7) Ambient temperature sensor (with full-auto air conditioner) (See AMBIENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)
- (8) Solar radiation sensor (with full-auto air conditioner) (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)
4. Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
