DETECTION CONDITION
|
• No continuity between partially disconnected detector bar terminals of active bonnet control module
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Active bonnet control module connector partially disconnected
• Active bonnet control module connector malfunction
• Active bonnet control module malfunction

INSPECT CONNECTION CONDITION OF ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE
• Switch the ignition to LOCK.
• Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 1 min or more.
• Disconnect the active bonnet actuator (RH, LH) connector.
• Remove the partition board.
• Remove the trunk side trim (RH).
• Are all active bonnet control module connectors correctly connected?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Connect the active bonnet control module connector correctly.
Go to Step 3.

VERIFY PARTIALLY DISCONNECTED TERMINAL BAR OF ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE
• Disconnect the active bonnet control module connector.
• Verify the condition of the partially disconnected terminal bar (vehicle wiring harness side) of the active bonnet control module. (Corrosion, damage, and disconnected pins)
• Is the partially disconnected terminal bar of the active control module normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Replace the wiring harness, then go to the next step.

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION FOR ACTIVE BONNET CONTROL MODULE
• Connect the active bonnet control module connector.
• Reconnect all the disconnected connectors.
• Connect the negative battery cable.
• Switch the ignition ON.
• Clear the DTC for the active bonnet control module using the M-MDS.
(See CLEARING DTC [ACTIVE BONNET].)
• Perform the active bonnet control module DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
• Is the same DTC displayed?

Yes
|
Replace the active bonnet control module.

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
