Malfunction Location

•  Front door latch switch (driver's side) circuit malfunction

Detection Condition

•  Open circuit in wiring harness between front door latch switch in front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) and BCM

Possible Causes

•  DTC inspection is performed with front door latch switch (driver's side) on
•  Connection malfunction with connector
•  Open circuit in wiring harness between front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) terminal B and BCM terminal 7I
•  Front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) malfunction
•  BCM malfunction

PERFORM DTC INSPECTION
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS.
•  Close the front driver's door. (Front door latch switch off)
•  Perform the BCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTC B1175:13 displayed?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.

VERIFY FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR (DRIVER'S SIDE) CONNECTOR CONDITION
•  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
•  Disconnect the front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) connector.
•  Inspect the connection condition and wiring harness.
•  Are the connector terminals normal without damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the connector, then go to the final step.

VERIFY FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR (DRIVER'S SIDE) GROUND CIRCUIT CONDITION
•  Inspect for continuity between front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) terminal D and body ground.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the related wiring harness, then go to the final step.

VERIFY FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR (DRIVER'S SIDE) CONDITION
•  Remove the front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side).
•  Inspect the front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side).
•  Is the front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side), then go to the final step.

VERIFY BCM CONNECTOR CONDITION
•  Disconnect the BCM connector.
•  Inspect the connection condition and wiring harness.
•  Are the connector terminals normal without damage, deformation, corrosion, or disconnection?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the connector, then go to the final step.

VERIFY WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN FRONT DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR (DRIVER'S SIDE) AND BCM FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
•  Inspect for continuity between front door latch and lock actuator (driver's side) terminal B and BCM terminal 7I.
•  Is there continuity?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair or replace the related wiring harness, then go to the final step.

VERIFY TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
•  Connect all the connectors.
•  Connect the battery cable.
•  Clear DTCs using the M-MDS
•  Close the front driver's door. (Front door latch switch off)
•  Perform the BCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS.
•  Is DTC B1175:13 displayed?
Yes
Replace the BCM.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
