id011417803200
1. Complete the “BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION”. (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION [MZR 1.3, MZR 1.5].)
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.3, MZR 1.5].)
3. Remove the fuel tank component. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.3, MZR 1.5].)
4. Remove the charcoal canister. (See CHARCOAL CANISTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.3, MZR 1.5].)
5. Perform the following procedure to verify the fuel tank airtightness.

7. Level the fuel tank.
8. Close port A and apply 5.9 kPa {0.06 kgf/cm2, 0.86 psi} of pressure to port C, and leave it in this condition momentarily.
9. Open port A and verify that the pressure decreases from 5.9 kPa {0.06 kgf/cm2, 0.86 psi}.
10. Close port A and apply –2.0 {–15 mmHg, –0.59 inHg} kPa vacuum to port C, and leave it in this condition momentarily.
11. Open port A and verify that the –2.0 {–15 mmHg, –0.59 inHg} kPa negative pressure condition restores to near positive pressure.
12. Turn the fuel tank upside down.
13. Apply a pressure of 5.9 kPa {0.06 kgf/cm2, 0.86 psi} to port C and wait for a while.
