SS mode indicator light does not illuminate when SS mode switch is turned ON

DESCRIPTION
•  SS mode indicator light does not illuminate when SS mode switch is turned on and IG SW at ON.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  SS mode switch malfunction (Stuck OFF)
•  Short to power supply in wiring harness between SS mode switch and TCM terminal B21

Are other indicator lights illuminated with ignition switch ON?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Inspect the meter fuse.

Inspect SS_SW PID value using the M-MDS.
Is SS_SW PID value normal?
Yes
Go to the Step 4.
No
Go to the next step.

Inspect SS mode switch.
Is the SS mode switch normal?
Yes
Inspect for open circuit in wiring harness followings:
•   between selector lever component terminal A and TCM terminal B21.
•   between selector lever component terminal B and GND.
Repair or replace any malfunctioning pert.
No
Replace the selector lever component.

Inspect the instrument cluster.
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the instrument cluster.

•  Verify the test results.
―  If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
―  If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis.
•  If the vehicle is repaired, the symptom troubleshooting is completed.
•  If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the TCM. (See TCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [DJVA-EL].)
