SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Glove compartment cover (R.H.D.) (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Passenger-side side panel (See SIDE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the dashboard installation bolts (2) on the passenger's seat side.

4.  Insert a hand into the dashboard from the passenger's area and press the lower part of the solar radiation sensor connector upward, and then disconnect the solar radiation sensor from the dashboard.

5.  Pull the dashboard outward a little.

6.  Lift the solar radiation sensor upward at an angle and pull it out from its hole in the dashboard.

Caution

•  After the solar radiation sensor has been removed, the sensor connector could fall behind the dashboard making the installation difficult. Therefore, hold the rooted end of the solar radiation sensor connector using a clip or similar tool to prevent it from falling.

7.  Disconnect the connector and remove the solar radiation sensor.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
