CLUTCH PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

4. Remove the Insulator. (R.H.D., L3 Turbo)(See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo].)
5. Separate the clutch pipe and reserve hose. (See CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [EXCEPT MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)(See CLUTCH STROKE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)
6. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
7. Plug the clutch pipe after removing it to avoid leakage.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
9. Fully depress the clutch pedal, and verify that the engine starts.

Clutch Master Cylinder (Clutch Stroke Sensor) Removal Note
1. Rotate the clutch master cylinder in the direction shown and remove.

2. Press on the tabs on the left and right sides of the push rod using a flathead screwdriver and remove the rod.

Clutch Master Cylinder (Clutch Stroke Sensor) Installation Note
1. Push the push rod in until the tabs lock.

2. Rotate the clutch master cylinder in the direction shown until it stops.

Clutch Pedal Installation Note
1. Add the clutch fluid, bleed the air, and inspect for leakage after the installation. (See CLUTCH FLUID AIR BLEEDING/REPLACEMENT.)
2. After installing the clutch pedal, inspect the clutch pedal. (See CLUTCH PEDAL INSPECTION/ADJUSTMENT.)
Starter Interlock Switch Installation Note
1. Insert the new starter interlock switch into the pedal bracket hole in the direction indicated by arrow A.

2. Slide the starter interlock switch pressing it in the direction indicated by arrow B until it is locked.

3. Fully depress the clutch pedal in the direction of arrow C, and verify that a click sound from the starter interlock switch is heard.
Clutch Pedal Position Switch Installation Note
1. Insert the new clutch pedal position switch into the pedal bracket hole until the switch stops.

2. Rotate the clutch pedal position switch 45° clockwise.

3. Verify that the clutch pedal position switch is locked securely.
