ADJUSTER ANCHOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Warning

•  The side air bag sensor is attached to the lower part of the B-pillar. When working around the B-pillar, disconnect the negative battery cable or work carefully, avoiding excessive impact to the lower part of the B-pillar.

1.  Switch the ignition off.

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 1.5, SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].)(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [MZR 1.6].)(See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 1.5].)

3.  Set the adjuster to the lowest position.

4.  Remove the adjuster anchor cover. (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  B-pillar lower trim (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Front seat belt upper anchor installation bolt (See FRONT SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  B-pillar upper trim (See B-PILLAR UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Remove bolt.

7.  Remove bolt.

8.  Remove the guide.

9.  Remove the adjuster anchor.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
