i-stop function operation conditions are not set
• Brake depression (fluid pressure) is insufficient.

• Does the i-stop indicator light (green) flash while the vehicle is stopped?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Go to Step 3.

INSPECT IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS INSUFFICIENT BRAKE PEDAL DEPRESSION OR INABILITY TO RESTART ENGINE
• Depress the brake pedal.
• Does the i-stop function operate after the i-stop indicator light (green) changes from illumination to flashing?

Yes
|
The system is normal. (malfunction due to insufficient brake depression when vehicle is stopped)

No
|
Go to the next step.

VERIFY DTC
• Retrieve the PCM and DSC HU/CM DTCs using the M-MDS.
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)

No
|
Go to the next step.

INSPECT BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR
• Inspect the brake fluid pressure sensor.
• Is there any malfunction?

Yes
|
Replace the DSC HU/CM.
|
No
|
Replace the PCM.
|

|
Verify the test results.
• If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms.
• If a malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform the repair or diagnosis.
