5. Disconnect the steering shift switch (LH) and (RH) connectors. (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6. Inspect the steering shift switch (LH).
- (1) Verify that the continuity between the steering shift switch (LH) terminals according to the following table.
-
-
• If verified, go to the next step.
- (2) Apply battery positive voltage to steering shift switch (LH) terminal F, and terminal B to ground.
-
- (3) Verify that the LED illuminates.
-
-
• If verified, go to the next step.
7. Inspect the steering shift switch (RH).
- (1) Verify that the resistance between the steering shift switch (RH) terminals according to the following table.
-
-
• If verified, go to the next step.
- (2) Apply battery positive voltage to steering shift switch (RH) terminal F, and terminal C to ground.
-
- (3) Verify that the LED illuminates.
-
-
• If verified, go to the next step.
8. Reconnect the steering shift switch (LH) and (RH) connectors. (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
