STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. 2.  Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITHOUT ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM].) (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [WITH ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY AND PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM].)

4.  Remove the screws.

5.  Remove the wiring harness from the cover hooks.

6.  Remove the cover tabs and pins from the steering wheel.

7.  Remove the cover.

8.  Remove the screws. (With steering shift switch)

9.  Disconnect the connectors. (With steering shift switch)

10.  Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch)

11.  Remove the screws.

12.  Disconnect the connectors.

13.  Remove the steering switch pins from the steering wheel.

14.  Remove the steering switch.

15.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
