THEFT-DETERRENT SIREN AND TILT SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Note

•  The tilt sensor are built into the theft-deterrent siren.

Caution

•  The clearance between the angle sensor and bracket is set at the initial position. If the angle sensor is removed from the bracket or servicing is performed which changes the initial position, the angle sensor will not operate correctly.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear scuff plate (LH) (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Tire house trim (LH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Trunk board (See TRUNK BOARD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Trunk side trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the connector.

4.  Remove the bolts.

5.  Remove the theft-deterrent siren.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

(See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear buckle installation bolt (See REAR BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Tire house trim (LH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Trunk side upper trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Trunk side trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the connector.

4.  Remove the bolts.

5.  Remove the theft-deterrent siren.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
