TRUNK LID OPENER CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0, MZR 2.5].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].) (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front seat (LH) (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Front scuff plate (LH) (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  B-pillar lower trim (LH) (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Tire house trim (LH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Trunk side trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10)  Trunk lid opener lever (See TRUNK LID OPENER LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the trunk lid striker from the trunk lid opener cable.

4.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clips A.

5.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clips B and C.

6.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clip D.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

(3)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  B-pillar lower trim (RH) (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear seat back (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(7)  Tire house trim (LH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(8)  Trunk end trim (See TRUNK END TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(9)  Trunk side trim (LH) (See TRUNK SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(10)  Trunk lid opener lever (See TRUNK LID OPENER LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Disconnect the trunk lid striker from the trunk lid opener cable.

4.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clips A.

5.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clips B and C.

6.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clips D and E.

7.  Remove the trunk lid opener cable from clip F.

8.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
