UREA PUMP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the urea tank cover No.1. (See UREA TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Drain the adBlue^®. (See AdBlue® REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

4.  Remove in the order indicated in the figure.

1	Urea Pump connector
2	Quick release connector (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR (EMISSION SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
3	Urea Pump (See Urea Pump Removal Note.) (See Urea Pump Installation Note.)

5.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

6.  Refill the adBlue^®. (See AdBlue® REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

7.  If the Urea Pump is replaced, perform the “Operation After Replacing Urea Pump” procedure. (See SCR SYSTEM INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

1.  Insert a flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure.

Caution

•  Do not apply force to the areas other than the shaded area shown in the figure.

1.  Apply force to the shaded area shown in the figure and install the Urea Pump.
