REAR SEAT BACK FRAME REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Caution

•  When performing the procedure with a rear seat back removed from the vehicle, perform the procedure on a clean cloth so as not to damage or soil the seat.

Rear seat back RH

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (With rear seat warmer system) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the head restraint.

3.  Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Unzip the zippers.

5.  Remove the surface fastener.

6.  Slide the hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to detach them from the rear seat back frame.

7.  Partially peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the fasteners.

8.  Partially open the rear seat back pad, and while detaching the tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2).

9.  Pull the rear seat back frame in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the rear set back pad.

10.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Rear seat back LH

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (With USB power outlet/with rear seat warmer system) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the head restraint.

3.  Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the rear seat center armrest. (See REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Unzip the zippers.

6.  Remove the surface fastener.

7.  Slide the hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to detach them from the rear seat back frame.

8.  Partially peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the fasteners.

9.  Partially open the rear seat back pad, and while detaching the tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2).

10.  Pull the rear seat back frame in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the rear set back pad.

11.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Rear seat back RH

2.  Remove the head restraint.

7.  Detach the tab in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2).

8.  Detach the tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2).

9.  Detach the tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the push knob cover in the direction of arrow (2).

10.  Partially peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the fasteners.

11.  Partially open the rear seat back pad, and while detaching the tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2).

12.  Pull the rear seat back frame in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the rear set back pad.

13.  Remove the rear center seat belt. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

14.  Remove the tab and remove the push knob in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

15.  Remove the cable.

16.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

Rear seat back LH

2.  Remove the head restraint.

3.  Remove the rear seat back. (See REAR SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the rear seat center armrest. (See REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5.  Unzip the zippers.

7.  Slide the hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure to detach them from the rear seat back frame.

8.  Detach the tab in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the top tether anchor cover in the direction of arrow (2).

9.  Detach the tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the seat belt cover in the direction of arrow (2).

10.  Detach the tabs in the direction of arrows (1) shown in the figure and remove the push knob cover in the direction of arrow (2).

11.  Partially peel back the rear seat back trim and remove the fasteners.

12.  Partially open the rear seat back pad, and while detaching the tabs in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, pull out the pole guides in the direction of arrow (2).

13.  Pull the rear seat back frame in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the rear set back pad.

14.  Remove the rear center seat belt. (See REAR CENTER SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

15.  Remove the tab and remove the push knob in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

16.  Remove the cable.

17.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
