Illumination command signal from PCM continues for 20 s or more

PCM malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	INSPECT FOR PCM MALFUNCTION • Switch the ignition to off. • Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2. • Perform the PCM DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [L8, LF, L5].) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD (RF Turbo)].) (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD 2.2].) • Is the DTC displayed again?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See DTC TABLE [L8, LF, L5].) (See DTC TABLE [MZR-CD (RF Turbo)].) (See DTC TABLE [MZR-CD 2.2].)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCs ARE RECORDED • Clear DTCs using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER].) • Perform the instrument cluster DTC inspection using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [INSTRUMENT CLUSTER].) • Is DTC U0401:92 displayed?	Yes	Replace the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L8, LF, L5].) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD (RF Turbo)].) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)
2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
