NOISE FILTER INSPECTION

Brake Light Noise Filter

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the brake light noise filter. (See NOISE FILTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify the resistance and continuity between the brake light noise filter terminals.

•  If the resistance is not as indicated in the table, replace the brake light noise filter.

Rear Window Defroster Noise Filter

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear side seat back (See REAR SIDE SEAT BACK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [4SD])

(5)  Rear package trim (See REAR PACKAGE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(6)  Rear window defroster noise filter (See NOISE FILTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify the resistance and continuity between the rear window defroster noise filter terminals.

•  If the resistance is not as indicated in the table, replace the rear window defroster noise filter.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  Rear window defroster noise filter (See NOISE FILTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Verify the resistance and continuity between the rear window defroster noise filter terminals.
