No creep at all

DESCRIPTION

•  Vehicle does not move in D, 2, 1 ranges, or R position when idling on flat level road.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  Either transaxle is stuck in 3GR or 4GR position, or there is clutch circuit slippage due to a stuck 3–4 clutch.

1.  Clutch burnt

•  Line pressure low

•  Shift solenoid A, B, or C malfunction

•  Body GND malfunction

•  Control valve body malfunction

2.  Transaxle fixed in 3GR or 4GR (Operation of fail-safe function)

•  Short or open circuit in wiring harness

•  Poor connector connection

•  Malfunction of electronic parts of output and input system

3.  There is no engine torque

•  Torque converter malfunction

Note

•  Before following the troubleshooting steps, make sure that the Automatic Transaxle On-Board Diagnostic and Automatic Transaxle Basic Inspection are conducted.

Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Does the vehicle creep in P and/or N position?	Yes	Inspect or adjust the selector lever. (See SELECTOR LEVER INSPECTION.) (See SELECTOR CABLE ADJUSTMENT.)
1	Does the vehicle creep in P and/or N position?	No	Go to the next step.
2	Stop engine and turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Connect the M-MDS to DLC-2. Simulate LPS PID for 50 %. Is operating sound of the pressure control solenoid heard?	Yes	Go to the next step.
2		No	Inspect connection of the pressure control solenoid terminal on the ATX for bend, damage, corrosion or looseness. Inspect for stuck pressure control solenoid. (See SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION[GF4AX-EL].) If the pressure control solenoid is normal, inspect for open or short circuit between the PCM terminal 1B and the pressure control solenoid terminal G.
3	Remove the torque converter. Inspect the torque converter. (See ATX Workshop Manual (GF4AX-EL)) Is the torque converter normal?	Yes	Overhaul the control valve body and repair or replace any malfunctioning parts. (See ATX Workshop Manual (GF4AX-EL)) If any problem remains, replace or overhaul the transaxle and repair or replace any malfunctioning parts. (See AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE AND TRANSFER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[GF4AX-EL].)
3		No	Replace the torque converter.
4	• Verify the test results. ― If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. ― If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis. • If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed. • If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
