1. Remove the RH and LH cylinder head cover. (See CYLINDER HEAD COVER (LH) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
2. Remove the oil pan. (See OIL PAN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
3. Remove the generator.
4. Remove the bolts and alternator brackets.
5. Remove the bolts and CMP sensor.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Remove the nut and the radio ignition interference capacitor.
8. Remove the power steering pump.
9. Remove the No.3 engine mount. (See No.3 ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
10. Lift up the vehicle.
11. Remove the bolt and remove the belt tensioner.
12. Remove the crankshaft pulley. (See CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
13. Remove the CKP sensor.
14. Remove the bolt, stud, engine front cover.
1. Clean all sealing surfaces with Metal Surface Cleaner.
2. Install three new gaskets in the front cover.
3. Apply a 6 mm {0.24 in} diameter dot of Silicone Gasket to the cylinder block, lower cylinder block, and cylinder head mating surfaces.
4. Position the cover and install the studs and bolts in the sequence shown.
5. Install the (CKP) sensor and connect the electrical connector.
6. Install the crankshaft pulley. (See CRANKSHAFT PULLEY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
7. Install the tensioner and bolt.
8. Install the generator bracket.
9. Install the generator.
10. Install the oil pan.
11. Lower the vehicle.
12. Install No.3 engine mount. (See No.3 ENGINE MOUNT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
13. Install the condenser.
14. Install the power steering pump.
15. Install the RH and LH valve cover. (See CYLINDER HEAD COVER (LH) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
