MALFUNCTIONS	POSSIBLE CAUSE	ACTION
• The WDS or equivalent does not communicate with the instrument cluster.	• Circuit • Instrument cluster	See No.1 UNABLE TO COMMUNICATE WITH INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.
• The instrument cluster illumination does not operate.	• Circuit • Instrument cluster • Instrument cluster miniature bulb	• Replace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.) • Inspect the system for normal operation.
• The climate control unit illumination does not operate.	• Circuit • Climate control unit	(See No.1 CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT ILLUMINATION DOES NOT OPERATE.)
• The audio unit illumination does not operate.	• Circuit • Audio unit	(See No.2 AUDIO UNIT ILLUMINATION DOES NOT OPERATE.)
• The rear window defroster switch illumination does not operate.	• Circuit • Illumination bulb	(See No.3 REAR WINDOW DEFROSTER SWITCH ILLUMINATION DOES NOT OPERATE.)
• The 4WD lock switch illumination does not operate. (4WD model)	• Circuit • Illumination bulb	(See No.4 4WD LOCK SWITCH ILLUMINATION DOES NOT OPERATE (4WD).)
• The power window switch illumination does not operate. (if equipped)	• Circuit • Power window switch	• Verify that the power window system operates normally. Replace the power window switch.
